Space to Share, Room to Grow

We've been a part of the Dearborn community since 1942. During that time, we've been able to support our neighbors by providing space for many community activities -- scout meetings, yoga classes, meetings and more. Our usage fees are very reasonable and help cover maintenance costs for our building. Please contact us to learn more about our building and how it might fit into your plans.

Dearborn Pastoral Counseling Center

dpcc Website

The Dearborn Pastoral Counseling Center (DPCC) has been counseling individuals, families, couples, and children since 1984. DPCC is staffed by professionally trained, licensed mental health professionals with a faith based perspective on the human condition. DPCC is a caring member of the Southeast Michigan Community, helping to change our local community and the world one person at a time.

At DPCC our perspective is founded on the understanding that human growth, development, and fulfillment are derived from a balanced approach to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the individuals. Recognizing that all who come to DPCC for assistance do not share the same faith based values, counselors strive to serve all clients with the same level of care, compassion, and respect.

The counselors at DPCC stand ready to help people work through emotional issues, relationships, family issues, developmental issues, and life transitions.

The center is approved to accept many insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid. Insurance may cover all or a portion of the cost of services from our agency. Those who are not covered by insurance will find our services to be competitive with similar agencies in the area. If clients are without insurance and experiencing financial hardship, DPCC will work with them to find a way to provide the needed services.  DPCC is committed to providing counseling and psychological services for individuals, families and couples, and children at a cost consistent with the client’s ability to pay.

CHUP Co-Op Preschool

Located within Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church, CHUP is a non-profit, cooperative educational organization designed to offer many benefits:

  • Direct parental involvement: parents have an active role in how the school is organized and maintained.

  • Children learn in a safe and nurturing environment where they are encouraged at their own level.

  • Lasting friendships are formed among the children, and among their parents as well.

  • Experienced certified teachers.

  • Morning and afternoon classes for children ages three and four.

  • Affordable tuition.

Our school has three rooms where children can participate: Quiet Room, Creative Room, and Active Room.

A typical day begins and ends with Group Time. This includes attendance, number concepts, special helper, weather and the teacher’s description of the day’s activities, songs, fingerplays, stories, etc.

The end of the day explores Large Motor Activity Time such as marching to music and dancing. Free play allows the children to explore all three rooms.

Children participate in clean-up, enjoy a nutritional snack, and outdoor play if weather permits. Holiday parties and outside enrichment/field trips are also part of our program.

Classes are in session September through May and based on the Dearborn Public Schools Calendar.

3 year-olds: This class provides a smooth transition from home to school and an introduction to group activity. The class currently meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:15 am – 11:15 am.

4 year-olds: This class follows the structure of the 3’s, with additional concepts introduced and encourages continued social and emotional development through group participation as children explore the world around them. The class currently meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am – 11:15 am.
