Anyone who supports the Purpose in any way is participating in Presbyterian Women. So even if you’re just learning about Presbyterian Women, there’s a good chance you’re already supporting Presbyterian Women—in spirit or in action! Won’t you consider joining us in person?

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN UPDATE

PW Birthday Offering:

Thank you to all the women who donated to the PW Birthday Offering this spring.  We received a total of $832.00! Thank you for your generosity!

Summer Dreams Sand Pails:

We want to thank the congregation for their participation during the month of May.  We collected $225.00 for The Second Mile Center to use for their summer program.  They were very grateful to receive this!

Peace Circle:

Peace Circle meets on the first Tuesday of the month, September through May, at 10:00 a.m. in Memorial Parlor. The first meeting will be held on September 5.  Peace Circle meets for Bible study, mission, and fellowship.  All women in the congregation are invited to come anytime to a meeting.  For more information, contact Char Greco or Sherry Brown.

2023-2024 Bible Study:

This year we are studying “Sacred Encounters: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts”.  We will consider Jesus, “the good shepherd”, who shared the Good News through sacred encounters with everyday people. Study guides are $10.00.  Please contact Mary Boudreau if you need one.

The Second Mile Center Fundraiser:

On Saturday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m., there will be a Golf Outing/Fundraiser for The Second Mile Center of Detroit at Farmington Hills Golf Club. Presbyterian Women of Cherry Hill has donated $250.00 to “Sponsor a Hole”.  Individuals may go to the Center’s website to register for the golf outing or to donate.

PW of Cherry Hill Fall Mission Project:

During October, the PCUSA Month of Mission, Presbyterian Women of Cherry Hill will be collecting items for The Second Mile Center of Detroit.  Our “Falling Leaves” Tree has been dormant since September 2019.  It is growing new leaves listing the items The Second Mile Center needs. The congregation will be able to pick these leaves during October and return the items by Sunday, November 5.  “Let’s All Go the Extra Mile for Second Mile”!
